Watch former Gramophone award winning choir, I Fagiolini perform the Agnus Dei from Orazio Benevoli’s Missa tu es Petrus for 4 choirs. Known for larger-scale multi-choir works, it is thought that Benevoli composed this motet to mark the completion of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome in the early 17^th century.

As well as Benevoli, the album features works from his Italian contemporaries including four solo voice motets by Bonifazio Graziani all of which are also premier recordings. Directed by I Fagiolini founder and conductor Robert Hollingworth, Missa tu es Petrus (Coro) is out today on digital and CD. More information here.
